I am using Corel Paint Shop Pro X for this tutorial. You can follow this tutorial with any paint program with a dodge brush and opacity allowance of the paint brush.
1. Draw the outline of the hair.
2. Fill the outline in with a lighter colour.
3. Using the outline colour, draw the darker strands of the hair.
4. Using a lighter colour than the base colour, draw lighter strands.
5. Using the dodge tool, highlight where the light would fall upon the hair. Don't worry if it looks too shiny.
6. Using either the lightest colour, the darkest colour or the base colour, fill in the hair outline again, using an opacity of around 10-25. This softens the hair.
7. To finish, add stray strands of hair, and a little make up, and your Princess is finished!
